My Fellow Abaconians (December 13, 2021)

This week of the 13th December, 2021 brings us closer to the Holidays. The most important things in life are Family and Health. Be sure to cherish the moments spent that make memories to remember.

Commonwealth Parliament Association held a three day seminar for the members of House of Assembly and Senate this week. Many of us are new to Parliament; this educational platform with speakers from United Kingdom, Canada, and Caribbean Nations was most helpful.

Some topics discussed are the Rules and Procedures of business in Parliament, utilization of civil society organizations, and most importantly how to table new legislation and amendments. Our government is based on the Westminster system; this system of government is utilized in many countries across the world. It is essential that we as legislative servants learn from and utilize the hundreds of years of knowledge in these many countries.

I am here to work for a better Central and South Abaco now and to set laws so Abaco will be safe and prosperous for generations to come.

Aviation is growing in The Bahamas; New flight service into Nassau by United Airlines and New flight service into Exuma by Air Canada.

Abaco has Airlines ready to expand here when we are ready. The Airport is in my sights to expand and bring back better this coming year.

Many great things are in motion for Central and South Abaco, I will not slow or be deterred untill I see us rebuild better than before.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas ; Healthy and Prosperous New Years! This will be my last weekly update for the Year and will resume after the New Year, but will continue working on consistuency issues throughout the holidays as we have so much to catch up on. This upcoming year of 2022, is looking bright for Abaco's future and I will work hard to make it a reality for all my fellow Abaconians.
